Using HubSpot Object Associations in Nexadata Datasets

Include HubSpot object associations like deals, contacts, and tickets in datasets to build richer, more connected CRM data.

Updated over a week ago

Nexadata supports referencing HubSpot object associations directly when building datasets. This means relationships between objects like contacts, deals, companies, tickets, products, and line items can be included as part of your data configuration.

Benefits

  • Easily join related HubSpot objects without custom queries

  • Build connected datasets for revenue, marketing, and support analytics

  • Preserve real-world relationships for cleaner, more accurate outputs

How to use object associations

When creating a dataset with HubSpot as the data source:

  1. Select the main object you want to use (e.g. deals, contacts, or companies).

  2. In the Custom Object Association section, choose any related objects you want to include.

    • Examples: associate a deal with its related company, or a contact with their tickets.

  3. Decide how you want to include associated records:

    • Exclude objects with no associated records – only include rows that have a match (INNER join behavior).

    • Include objects with no associated records – keep all rows even if there's no match (LEFT join behavior).

  4. Choose the fields (properties) you want to include from both the main object and any associated objects.

This allows you to build datasets that reflect how your CRM data is actually connected in HubSpot.

Example

If you're analyzing deal performance, you can include:

  • Company data (like industry or size) by associating deals → companies

  • Ticket history by associating deals → tickets

This gives you a full picture of your sales and support activity in one place.
