Step 3 - Add Datasets to integrate with Anaplan

🔍 What You’re Doing

In this step, you’ll add three sample Datasets to your Nexadata Workspace: demo_Orders, demo_Customers, and Segment Hierarchy. These preloaded files are available in every Nexadata tenant and are used to help you quickly learn how to build data hierarchies. You’ll walk through selecting each file, configuring columns, and confirming that the Datasets are ready to use in a Workflow.


✅ Summary of Steps

  1. From the Nexadata home screen, click Connect to a Dataset.

  2. Name the first Dataset demo_Orders.

  3. Select the Nexadata Hub Connection created earlier.

  4. Choose the file demo_Orders.csv from the available sample files.

  5. Click Submit to confirm the file selection.

  6. Review the column types and ensure CustomerID is set to Text.

  7. Click Submit to finalize the Dataset.

  8. Repeat the steps above to create the demo_Customers Dataset.

    • Name: demo_Customers

    • File: demo_Customers.csv

    • Confirm CustomerID is set to Text

  9. Add a third Dataset:

    • Name: Segment Hierarchy

    • File: Segment Hierarchy.csv

  10. Confirm all three Datasets are listed and ready in your Workspace.
