Overview: Building Workflows in Nexadata

Build your first end-to-end Workflow in 10 minutes with Nexadata’s Quick Start Guide

Updated yesterday

Ready to dive in? This Quick Start Guide (QSG) walks you through building your first end-to-end Workflow in under 10 minutes using Nexadata’s Transform Copilot and Data Mapping Copilot. Whether you're just getting started or need a quick refresher, this guide will show you how to be remarkably productive on the Nexadata platform in minutes.

You’ll work with a sample dataset to explore how to:

  1. Create a Connection to your data source

  2. Create a Dataset using that Connection

  3. Create a Workflow to organize your Datasets, Pipelines, Schedules, and Activity Logs

  4. Add a Pipeline to the Workflow using Nexadata’s Transform and Mapping Copilots

  5. Execute the Pipeline to transform and map your data

  6. Optionally schedule the Pipeline for recurring automation

When you build your Workflow with Nexadata Copilots, you do not need to manually configure every step. Nexadata automatically builds the Pipeline based on:

  1. Your intent – What you want to achieve, expressed as a prompt or output goal

  2. Your source data – One or more Datasets used as input

  3. Your desired output – Including target format and output columns

Each transformation and mapping step is intelligently generated and added to the Pipeline. You are always in control. Every step is visible, editable, and reviewable to support a human-in-the-loop experience. You can inspect or update any step to ensure it performs as expected.

The following diagram reinforces the points above, enabling intent to trusted data:

By the end of this guide, you will not only have a working Pipeline. You will have a complete Workflow that you can extend and apply to your own data integration and transformation use cases.

Let’s get started!
